La Liga is home to the two best players on the planet. Barcelona and Real Madrid are always capable of attracting the biggest stars in the game, while teams like Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla make solid moves. There have already been some big moves in Spain this summer and more could follow as the transfer window winds down. Here are the 10 biggest La Liga rumors heading into August.

10. Roma Show Interest in Coentrao

Fabio Coentrao could be on the way out at Real Madrid. The Portuguese international has failed to displace Marcelo as the club’s left-back since his arrival a few summers ago. Roma are reportedly interested in the player, and his versatility could serve him well at the Italian club. Coentrao can fill a much-needed weakness at left-back but could also play further forward or in central midfield.

9. Raul Jimenez a Target for West Ham

West Ham are in need of more forward options with the injury to Enner Valencia. The Telegraph reports that Atletico Madrid’s Raul Jimenez could be that player. Jimenez has seen himself fall down the pecking order at Atletico with the arrival of Jackson Martinez and Luciano Vietto along with the presence of Fernando Torres.

8. Roberto Soldado Headed Back to Spain with Villarreal

Villarreal look set to offer Roberto Soldado a way out of his Tottenham nightmare. The Spanish forward has failed to impress in London since arriving a few seasons ago and a return to Spain may just see him right the ship. The Spanish side have been linked with a move for him, via Talksport, and would benefit from his predatory instincts inside the box.

7. Sevilla Interested in Llorente

Fernando Llorente is another Spanish forward who has endured tough times abroad. Llorente has played somewhat regularly for Juventus but has always been second to the likes of Carlos Tevez and, last season, fellow Spaniard Alvaro Morata. Sevilla are reportedly favorites to sign him at this stage.

6. Real Madrid want Carvalho

Real Madrid did their transfer business before the summer even began, with Danilo joining the squad from Porto. Los Galacticos may be set to add another star of the Portuguese league to their ranks with Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho. The defensive midfielder is highly regarded across Europe and would strengthen a midfield that includes Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

5. Juventus See Javier Mascherano as Ideal Candidate for Midfield

Juventus have gone through a major overhaul so far this summer, with key players like Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez departing. According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano is seen as a target to help alleviate that loss of experience and add some grit to the midfield. Mascherano showed in this summer’s Copa America and last year’s World Cup that he is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the game.

4. Paris Saint-Germain Look to Add Toni Kroos

The Express reports that Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for Toni Kroos in what would be one of the biggest transfers of the summer. Kroos just joined Real Madrid last summer and was integral in the club’s early-season success. The addition of the German midfielder would instantly make Paris Saint-Germain one of the favorites for the Champions League, especially after the capture of Angel Di Maria.

3. Barcelona Want Philippe Coutinho as Part of Traore Deal

Liverpool’s reported interest in Barcelona’s young winger Adama Traore may have unwanted repercussions. According to the Metro, Barcelona want the Reds’ star midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, as part of the deal. Barcelona wouldn’t be able to play the player until January 2016, but their signings of Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal show they are willing to get the players they want.

2. Real Madrid Want David de Gea Deal Done Quickly

The David de Gea to Real Madrid saga isn’t done yet, as the Express reports that Real Madrid want the deal wrapped up by the end of the week. Manchester United have signed Sergio Romero, possibly as a replacement, and may be ready to let De Gea go.

1. Manchester United Still Want Gareth Bale

One reason why Manchester United may be willing to let David de Gea go is their interest in Gareth Bale. The Welshman has constantly been linked with moves back to England, and Manchester United are the most likely destination. A second world record fee may not be possible, but the Red Devils have shown in the last two seasons that they have the funds to make big moves.
