Further evidence that there has to be some element of luck in how great players eventually make their way to the top. The start is never easy. Could be a million more Griezmann’s who never got the chance that he did. Obviously this takes nothing away from what he has become, his talent, coaching and work ethic played the biggest part in that. If he hadn’t been spotted then and had been spotted later or was rejected by a few more clubs would he be as good of a player or even be a player at all?
