Good list. Plenty of good young players to watch which will make the tournament fun.

These teams, or at least, Venezuela, Peru and Paraguay did surprise in the last tournament. Not expecting the same this time around. Will be interesting to see any young talents or if they do manage to make things uncomfortable for the big boys.

I have to discount Uruguay and Ecuador. Ecuador were so basic in the World Cup and they haven’t really changed that much and are without Antonio Valencia. Edinson Cavani still hasn’t lived up to the task without Luis Suarez but he showed at points this year that he could take charge in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence for PSG so maybe he will finally do that for Uruguay.
These sides may still trouble other teams but I’d say Colombia is the only real dark horse. Guess we’ll see.

Definitely the favourites and plenty of storylines with each team. I hope the pressure doesn’t get to Chile. Like I said earlier, I’m hoping for an Argentina win.

Great piece. Looking to all these stars playing well. The only one who didn’t have some sort of injury layoff is Lionel Messi but all look set for a good performance. Sure they won’t be the only ones though.

Copa America starts today, for all those so bothered that club football is done. Can’t wait. I still want Lionel Messi to finally get that international trophy but wouldn’t be hard done if Chile get it due to Alexis Sanchez.
Looking forward to a good tournament.
Argentina Brazil Uruguay Colombia Ecuador have work to do ahead of Copa America writes Tim Vickery – ESPN FC
Hopefully this Copa America isn’t like the last one, where the big teams were afraid to lose. There’s plenty of talent to be had. The author made some pretty good points about what each team faces heading into the tournament and their friendlies will be interesting to watch.

This is a nice piece about the upcoming Copa America in 2015.
Definitely looking forward to South America’s showpiece tournament next year, and hopefully it’ll be a better show than the last time around.
I’ve had an affinity towards Chile since the days of Marcelo Salas and Ivan Zamarano, and even more so now with Alexis Sanchez being an Arsenal player. Still, I want Lionel Messi to win at least one major international tournament before he goes so I’ll be rooting, mostly, for Argentina.
