To finish up all that Angel Di Maria analysis. It’s tough to point the blame solely at the player as his performances early on showed the quality he has. I’m not sure things would have gotten better had he stayed for another season but we’ll never know. I think the author speaking about his time with PSG is correct. He’s expected to push the club to another level in Europe, they could do just fine without him domestically. I don’t see them winning it but if everything goes well they could have a really strong season in the Champions League.

Still waiting on it to be official but this is a very big move for Paris Saint-Germain and in world football period. Brings PSG that much closer to the super clubs and it’s not difficult to see them getting past the likes of Real Madrid etc. Of, course, Di Maria needs to return to his Madrid form and keep fit but I think he’ll do so.

It could. Not likely though. I don’t see anyone leaving Paris Saint-Germain at this stage, and we already know Pedro may be on his way to Manchester United. Benzema is a hard target for anyone and it looks like De Gea is staying at Manchester United until his contract ends. I think most teams have made the moves they wanted to so far, and unless something crazy happens then things will pretty much remain as is.

It’s tougher with Di Maria as another year of being, possibly, misused by Van Gaal may see his career go off the rails a bit and a move like Paris Saint-Germain may not be on next summer. Looks like it’s going to happen anyway. PSG just jumped up a notch.

It was really strange to see Angel Di Maria play so poorly this season but the author bring up all the good points about why that occurred. A move may be best for both club and player but I really would like to see if a second season together would produce the expected results. Interesting to see see where he moves if he moves.
