Could two players over 30 help Juventus reach the next level? The two in question can. Alves and Mascherano could have a similar impact to Patrice Evra for Juventus. As the author notes, there are specific roles each will fill and they can do so to great effect. Having to more leaders/winners in the dressing room would help too. I think Juventus may still need another attacking addition but if these moves happen they are on the way to another good summer.

So00, of course there are going to be rumors about a key player who has one year left on his contract. There’s no indication that Barcelona would be happy letting Alves leave and I think, considering the likelihood that Vidal might need some more time to adapt, they’ll definitely want to keep Alves at least for the final year in his contract. There’s time to hash out one more year if necessary. It’s a bit too early to be talking about rumors but I guess its transfer season.

Hopefully he stays. At least one more season. I think Martin Montoya is capable enough but Barcelona will be unlikely to find anyone who can replicate Dani Alves’ play. I think they’ll get a contract done.
