Not sure why Frank de Boer isn’t the runaway favourite. It’ll be hard to get Koeman and even harder to get Emery. Pellegrini has Prem experience but, as mentioned, might not improve the defense as needed. I also don’t see his preferred 4-4-2 improving things much period. David Moyes is not the way to go either. Maybe there’s another candidate out of left field. Sampaoli perhaps? We shall see.

Still lots of interest in David Moyes I see. I know he’s talking about patience and so on but this Real Sociedad side is very capable of getting into Europe next season. Would be a disappointment if they don’t.

David Moyes’ time at Manchester United was always going to be rough. He was ready for a step up from Everton but Manchester United was a step too far. As the author states, his time at Real Sociedad now shows he’s still a good manager. Though he does have a lot of work to do still. Not sure that I’d agree with the author that Louis Van Gaal would’ve stumbled but then it did take a long time for things to click this season. He did have a number of new players though while Moyes basically kept the old squad so anything could’ve happened.

Graham Hunter’s look at David Moyes in the Real Sociedad hot-seat is definitely a good read on one of the most interesting managerial moves this season. I’m sure everyone was wondering where David Moyes would end up after the Manchester United, and I doubt anyone would have picked Real Sociedad.
For anyone chuckling at David Moyes they have to respect what amounts to a very brave decision from the Scottish manager. When the rumour first popped up I thought that Real Sociedad would be a solid fit for Moyes, and I hope it works out for him.
