Football Manager Meets Moneyball (Pt 10) – The Set Pieces

Football Manager Meets Moneyball (Pt 10) – The Set Pieces.

Figured we’d end the day with some virtual reality in terms of football.

This experiment was pretty great but the thing that I’d say is a real setback is the lack of youth development. Otherwise it was extraordinary to see the changes and the growth of the club with Moneyball rules.(I’d love to see a team really try it in real life).

As I said in a previous post, I’m finally challenging myself to a tiny club to super club run in FM and loosely, very loosely, following some of these rules with my own usual videogame craziness. Barnet is my club. Season 1 should be done soon. Maybe.

Ha! This is brilliant! I think I’ve seen it somewhere before but definitely worth a share. How do you fellow Football manager addicts feel? I know I’m an addict though FM always had competition with FIFA so its been double the gaming for me.

Football Manager Meets Moneyball (Pt 8) – The Set Pieces.

Still fascinating. I would think a title is next up.

In other news, after being thoroughly inspired to truly test my managerial acumen(Arsenal’s hard enough if you ask me) I’ve started a league with Barnet. Yup. Updates after the first season.

Man. That’s crazy. See where Arsenal is in that league table? Lol. I’m going to do this for sure during the summer, or maybe earlier once I finish my next Arsenal save. I know for a fact though that I’m going to try to fit players into a system rather than a system to players as the author did the first season. That will hurt me to start. Should be fun though.

The Premier League Needs To Get Over Its Phobia Of The Director Of Football | Bleacher Report.

It’s a thought. Not sure if it will ever take hold though.

I can tell why Premier League clubs don’t like it though. I hired one in Football Manager once and had to sack him after a month. Kept trying to buy s$%t players or those who didn’t fit my philosophy at all.  Just saying.
