It was to be expected. After seeing all those players leave and Bielsa only signing a one-year contract initially, it was very likely that he would leave. I doubt many would’ve expected it to happen the way it did when it did but hey.

Before we go into a day of some interesting Arsenal-based articles, Paul Wilkes takes a look at Marseille so far this season under Marcelo Bielsa.

I would say Marseille is my favorite French club so it’s good to see them doing well in the league again. They hold a four-point lead in the league right now, with a mouth-watering clash against Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow. If they can make it to January on top or, at least, level with PSG and get reinforcements then the league may be theirs.

The worry is that things may begin to fall apart in the new year as it did during his reign with Atletico Bilbao. Certainly might not be fun for all involved at the club if he sits on hot coffee again.
