Figured we’d start the day looking at something combining this holiday and football. This article presents a nice little overview of soccer.com’s growth, and increasing importance around this time of year.

I don’t think I ever really got something from the site for Christmas but it was the only place I went for boots during my years playing in high school and college. I’m sure that was the same for many of my teammates. Good times. Doubt if I remember how to sign into my account now.

Now, I just go to a local store or something to pick up boots right before a Sunday league game without caring about breaking them in etc.
