Valencia Forging New Identity After Gary Neville Reign | Bleacher Report
The focus might be on that win against Barcelona but the win against Sevilla in the game before was even more important, and showcased the new path Valencia was headed on. It’s never easy handing the reigns to someone after just a short trial but it seems Pako Ayestaran should definitely be choice No. 1 for Valencia hierarchy.

I mean. Gary Neville pretty much had his head on the chopping block from day one. Very tough situation for any manager never mind someone so inexperienced. There’s all the smirking and snickering about him not being able to go back to punditry right away as he can’t criticize other managers. Maybe. His situation was still different. I think he’ll stay out of the limelight for a bit but he may just benefit from this experience in the long run. Very interesting to see how Jorge Mendes is connected to both teams. He doesn’t have much to lose either way but I think he has more in store for Valencia at this stage given the new approach from Monaco. I think it will be a very tight tie but either one of these teams would be a great addition to the tournament.

Are Valencia Ready to Become a Force in La Liga Again? | Bleacher Report.
I hope so. I remember the days of David Albelda, Santiago Canizares, Ruben Baraja, Roberto Ayala, Kily Gonzalez, John Carew and Miguel Angulo etc. Great team. The possibility of more money from a new Spanish TV deal would also help the club along with Lim’s plans. Will be fun to watch.
