China gearing up to overtake Japan in battle for Asian football supremacy | John Duerden | Football | The Guardian.

I’m not sure about the last sentence about China becoming a football superpower but I guess that depends on how they progress in Asia first. Having a population advantage doesn’t mean success, just ask the US. All the impending changes that the author presented will definitely help Chinese football progress but will the growing influx of talented foreigners eventually hinder the development of Chinese players? Just a thought.
