A well written piece here with some very good points. To each his own though. I prefer “Total Football” but I can certainly appreciate any football in all its forms. Yes, the goal is to win in the end and the reaction to defensive football can be silly but playing not to lose is different than playing to win knowing that defense is your strength. To expand, I don’t mind Chelsea’s defensive organization but when Mourinho chooses to go into big games with the sole purpose of gaining a point, maximum, then that’s annoying.
